Mimy A. Bailey
Mimy's energy and tenacity are assets that serve our clients well. Her ability to connect with clients on a personal level while focusing on the legal issues of their cases allows her to take a well-rounded approach to litigation. It is important to her that clients be kept informed at all stages of their cases and that she is accessible to address their questions and concerns.
Mimy takes a special interest in cases involving injured athletes and especially cyclists. She maintains a blog to report on news and information relevant to cyclists in Washington. www.skwcbikelaw.com
Mimy’s practice is a diverse one – construction site injuries, cyclist injuries, roadway design for bicycles, aviation law, Automobile Accidentss – she enjoys the challenge of tackling new areas and refining her skills in familiar ones.
Mimy is the founder and current chair of the American Association for Justice (AAJ, formerly ATLA) Bicycle Litigation Group. The Group’s membership is of plaintiff attorneys nationwide who advocate on behalf of injured cyclists.
Outside of her regular practice, Mimy volunteers once a month with the King County Bar Association’s Housing Justice Project to provide free counseling and representation to tenants facing eviction.
A cum laude graduate of Seattle University School of Law, she was a fellow with the school's Center on Corporations, Law, and Society, and spent a semester prosecuting cases for the Seattle City Attorney's Office.
Mimy worked as a law clerk in our Seattle office for a year prior to accepting a position as an associate in September of 2007.
